ABOUT CHERYL
Cheryl Farley grew up on the beaches of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Through both summer sea camps and her family, her passion for both art and the sea developed. After attending college for Graphic Design, she met and married her husband of now 20 years, Robert Farley.
Working for a family owned interior décor and garden center business in Newport News, Virginia for over 13 years; she learned the important things about small business, especially customer service.
In 1998 they purchased their first boat, and she was hooked! Working with the Regal Boats dealer in Virginia, she started The Royal Touch Marine Detailing Services, providing both detailing of private vessels and prepping of boats for the dealership.
In 2004, she moved with her husband to Charleston, SC for his last tour of duty in the Navy. Here she re-discovered her passion for the sea and art, and currently has a sculpture of King Neptune himself on display at the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland.
Working with local dealers, yacht brokers, and private yacht owners, she again started The Royal Touch in Charleston, SC, working to expand the business to what it is today. She currently sees to the day to day operations of the business, and oversees the Graphics department, where she has designed and installed over 500 lettering and logo designs for boats, cars, trucks, and signage materials.

The boating season is just around the corner and I really want The Royal Touch to wax and detail our boat this spring! They did an awesome job on our boat in 2006, and we were extremely pleased.
Last year, The Royal Touch was booked for April and May, and we had to hire another company. We were extremely unhappy with the job the other company did, so this year I made my appointment with The Royal Touch early!
Kindly, Elizabeth Weddington 20' Sea Ray - Daniel Island Marina.
Cheryl,
John and I love what you’ve done on Swan Song! The lettering you did is elegant, but simple, and looks just right! We loved the script that you chose, and the dark blue color that you recommended. Thank you so much, Cheryl for the beautiful and timely work you did on our new sailboat before it left Charleston. She is now in Georgetown and John and I are so grateful to you. - Harriet DuBose, Sailing vessel “Swan Song” Georgetown, SC
